【摘要】:Thistestmethodisvaluableinthedevelopmentandselectionofflexiblebarriermaterialssuitedforuseasgreasebarriers.Thetestisrapidincomparisonwithothermethodsbecauseoftheextremelysmallquantityofoilrequiredfordetection(about6x03BC;g).Theactualtimetofailureisamultipleofthevaluesobtainedbythistestmethod.Whenpermeationisthroughanabsorbentstructuresuchaskraftpapercoatedwithpolyethylene,thefailuretimeswillbelongerandvariable,dependingonthevariationinporosityandthicknessofthestructure.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesstandardconditionsfordeterminingtherateofgreasepenetrationofflexiblebarriermaterials.Pinholes,whichcanbemeasuredbyaseparatetest,willincreasetherateofgreasepenetrationasdeterminedbythistestmethod.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcernsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
