【摘要】:1.1Thisguidedescribesthecalculationandinterpolationofathermalresistancevalueforlow-densityblanket-typeinsulationmaterialataparticulardensityandthicknesshavingbeenselectedasrepresentativeoftheproduct.Itrequiresmeasuredvaluesofthisaveragedensityandthickness,aswellasapparentthermalconductivityvaluesdeterminedbyeitherTestMethodC177,C518,orC1114.1.2Thisguideappliestoadensityrangeformineral-fibermaterialofroughly6.4to48kg/m3(0.4to3.0lb/ft3).Itisprimarilyintendedtoapplytolow-density,mineral-fibermassinsulationbattsandblankets,exclusiveofanymembranefacings.Apparentthermalconductivitydatafortheseproductsarecommonlyreportedatameantemperatureof23.9176;C(75176;F)andahot-to-coldplatetemperaturedifferenceof27.8176;C(50176;F)or22.2176;C(40176;F).1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
