【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaproceduretoidentifythefattyacidspresentinthevehicleofapaint.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheidentificationofoilsandoilacidsinvehiclesthathavebeenseparatedfromsolvent-reduciblepaints.Thetestmethodisbasedonagaschromatographictechnique(ofthemethylesters)applicabletoproductscontainingbothsaturatedandunsaturated,animalandvegetable,unpolymerizedorpartiallypolymerizedfattyacidshaving8to20carbonatoms.1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoproductscontainingfattyacidsthathavebeenpolymerizedoroxidizedtosuchanextentthatnocharacteristicmonomericfattyacidsremain.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
