【摘要】:Foranyproducttobetestedthegeometricalcomplexitywillvarywidely.However,thebasicconceptofdetermininganoperativeleakagespecificationregardlessofgeometriesismuchthesameforall,whetheritbesimple,ordinary,orcomplex.ThedatarequiredforwritingtheOS,whichistotalleakage(moles),time(s),andpressuredifferenceacrosstheleak,areeitheravailableorcanbedeterminedbytestsormeasurements.Auserwhoselectsvaluestobeusedinaleakagespecificationasaresultofsomeoneelsehavingusedthevalueorsimplybecauseofprestigereasons,mayfindthevalueorvaluesunsatisfactoryfortheproduct.Aspecificationthatistoorestrictivemayresultinexcessiveleaktestingcosts.Aspecificationthatisnotrestrictiveenoughmayresultinprematureproductfailure,orincreasedwarrantycosts,orboth.Atypicalillustrationfordeterminingaleakagespecification,usingthecomplexgeometryofarefrigerantsystemforanexample,willbeusedthroughoutthisrecommendedguide.Itiswelltopointoutthattheusershouldrealizethatthevaluesandtestmethodsselecteddonotnecessarilyrepresentthebestortypicalonesforthisapplication.1.1Thisstandardisintendedasaguide.Itenumeratesfactorstobeconsideredinpreparingadefinitivespecificationformaximumpermissiblegasleakageofacomponent,device,orsystem.Theguiderelatesandprovidesexamplesofdataforthepreparationofleaktestingspecifications.Itisprimarilyapplicableforuseinspecifyinghalogenleaktestingmethods.1.2Twotypesofspecificationsaredescribed:1.2.1Operationalspecifications(OS),and1.2.2Testingspecifications(TS):Total,andEachleak.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
