【摘要】:Thedeterminationofthevolumepercentofthetexturalcomponentsincokeisusefultocharacterizetheopticalpropertiesofcokeasitrelatestoutilization.Specifically,thetechniquehasbeenusedasanaidindeterminingcoalblendproportions(aftercorrectingforcokeyield),andrecognitionoffeaturespresentinthecokethatcanberesponsibleforcokequalityorproductionproblemssuchasreducedcokestrengthordifficultyinremovingcokefromcommercialcokeovens,orboth.Thestudyofcoketexturesisalsousefulinpromotingabetterunderstandingofcokereactivity,andtherelationshipbetweencoalpetrographyanditsconversiontocoke.4Thistestmethodisusedinscientificandindustrialresearch,butnotforcomplianceorrefereetests.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheequipmentandproceduresusedfordeterminingthetypesandamountsofcokecarbonformsandassociatedrecognizablecoal-andprocess-derivedtexturalcomponentsinmetallurgicalcokeintermsofvolumepercent.Thistestmethoddoesnotincludecokestructuralcomponentssuchascokepores,cokewalldimensions,orotherstructuralassociations.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
