【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestoallcommerciallyavailableopticalamplifiers(OAs),includingOAsusingopticallypumpedfibres(OFAsbasedoneitherrare-earthdopedfibresorontheRamaneffect),semiconductoropticalamplifiers(SOAs)andplanarwaveguideopticalamplifiers(PWOAs).TheobjectofthisstandardistoprovidethegeneralbackgroundforOAnoisefigureparametersmeasurementsandtoindicatethoseIECstandardtestmethodsforaccurateandreliablemeasurementsofthefollowingOAparameters,asdefinedinIEC61291-1:a)noisefigure(NF);b)noisefactor(F);c)multiplepathinterference(MPI)figureofmerit;d)signal-spontaneousnoisefigure;e)(equivalent)spontaneous-spontaneousopticalbandwidth(Bsp_sp);f)forwardamplifiedspontaneousemission(ASE)powerlevel;g)reverseASEpowerlevel;h)ASEbandwidth.ThisstandardaddressesmeasurementofOAsthataretobeusedforamplifyingsinglechannels,thatissignalsfromasingletransmitter.TestingofOAsformultichanneluseinvolvesadditionalconsiderations,suchas:thenumber,wavelengthsandrelativepowerofthesignals,theabilitytomeasuresignalssimultaneouslyandtomeasuretheASEbetweenchannels.NOTEMethodsformeasurementofOAsformultichanneluseareincludedintheIEC61290-10series.
